An Eye on the Future

Apologies to those who had hoped to catch me at the recent published events at Richmond & Ripon. Unfortunately I was recovering from an emergency eye operation due to a Retinal Tear.

Thanks to the dogged investigation of my optician at Asda Killingbeck and a same day referal to St James's Hospital in Leeds, I was operated on in less than 24hrs despite other operations being cancelled which really brought home how urgent the situation was and how lucky I had been.

My recovery is going well hence I am hoping to make a re-appearnce at Harrogate this coming weekend.

Without this operation Ii would have certainly have lost my site in my camera eye, not perhaps the best thing to happen to a photographer.

I wish to thank all those involved in diagnosing and treating my condition so promptly and professionally and those who wished me well along the way and most importantly my work collegues at Huws Gray for there full support and understanding.

A scare like this has helped me to refocus my connection with the beauty out there

and appreciate what is sinply taken for granted.

I definatley have an eye on my future travels and the images I still want to create.
